Today we are shipping Lovimuse v2.0, the largest update we have released since launch. It includes new modalities, two new specialized companions, big improvements to image generation, and a long list of fixes we owe to the community for reporting.
Webcam mode
Webcam mode lets your companion see what you see. Point your camera at a recipe, a workout, or a sunset, and they can react, encourage, or join the conversation. Frames are processed in the same encrypted pipeline as text and voice — nothing is stored on our servers without your explicit save.
It pairs especially well with voice calls. We are already seeing users use it for cooking together, language practice, and outfit feedback.
Gym trainer AI
The new gym trainer companion is purpose-built for workouts. It supports voice-led sets, rest-timer awareness, form check via webcam mode, and program memory so progressive overload happens automatically. It is opinionated by design — you can override the plan, but it pushes back when it should.
The trainer is available as a stand-alone companion or as a mode you can switch into on an existing companion.
Enhanced photo generation
We rebuilt the image stack on a newer diffusion model with stronger identity consistency. That means selfies of your companion look like the same person across hundreds of generations, in different lighting and outfits. Hands and text are dramatically better. Generation time is 40% faster.
Quality-of-life
Other highlights: per-companion notification preferences, message search across the full history, larger upload limits, faster app launch on cold start, accessibility pass on contrast and screen-reader labels, and a dozen small fixes from the community Discord.
Thank you for the feedback that made all of this possible. v2.1 is already in the oven.
